What to do with your hands

01Make an overhead arch
Sit diagonally, feet supported. Rest one hand on your bun and the other beside your hip; keep the raised elbow open and look down.
Camera 1×, just above seated eye level, 2 m away. Include both hands and sandals; look for pale stone.
Keep the support hand close. Sit upright if your wrist feels strained.

02Pause with a drink
Stand with relaxed shoulders. Hold the cup around its middle, rest the other hand in a pocket, and look past the lens.
Camera 1×, chest height, 1.5 m away. Frame waist-up with both elbows; use soft side light.

03Frame your face
Rest both elbows on the table. Touch your jaw lightly with soft palms; lower your shoulders and look into the lens.
Camera 1×, eye level, 1 m away. Include both elbows; blue shutters and open shade give this soft mood.

04Cross a foot, touch your neck
Cross one foot lightly. Touch the back of your neck without pulling, leave the other hand soft at your skirt, and look down.
Camera 1×, waist height, 3 m away. Keep both boots and the raised elbow in frame; cool stone suits denim.
Stagger your feet instead if crossing feels unstable.

05Check your bag
Sit with the bag supported on your lap. Hold its rim with one hand, reach inside with the other, and look down without hunching.
Camera 1×, chest height, 2 m away, tilted slightly down. Include the bag and sandals; keep harsh sun off your face.
Keep both feet down if lifting one feels awkward.

06Reach toward the camera
Turn back toward your friend with a soft shoulder. Reach an open palm below your face, fingers loose, and meet the lens.
Camera 1×, slightly above eye level, 1–1.5 m away. Focus on the face; warm skin, blue water.
The near hand looks larger. Keep it clear of your face and stay behind the parapet.
