How to pose for pictures

01Turn, then look back
Make a small quarter-turn with feet apart. Leave your arms loose, turn your shoulders with your head, and look back.
Camera 1×, hip height, 3 m away. Keep the hem and sandals in frame; warm stone, cool shadows.
Use a held turn with fitted clothing.

02Pause with a drink
Shift your weight to one side. Sip with one hand, tuck the other into a pocket, and look past the camera.
Camera 1×, chest height, 1.5 m away. Frame waist-up with both elbows; use soft side light.

03Make an overhead arch
Sit diagonally with feet on the lower step. Support a small lean with one palm, touch your bun, and look down.
Camera 1×, just above seated eye level, 2 m away. Include both hands and sandals; look for pale stone.
Keep the support hand close. Sit upright if your wrist feels strained.

04Frame your face
Sit with both elbows on the table. Frame your jaw lightly with your palms, drop your shoulders, and meet the lens.
Camera 1×, eye level, 1 m away. Include both elbows; blue shutters and open shade give this soft mood.

05Pause and glance back
Pause a short step away, bag held low. Turn your shoulders with your head and look back toward the phone.
Camera 1×, waist height, 3 m behind. Include both boots; direct flash gives the evening look.
Stop before looking back; choose clear, level ground.

06Check your bag
Sit diagonally, bag on your lap. Hold its rim, reach inside with the other hand, and look down with shoulders relaxed.
Camera 1×, chest height, 2 m away, tilted slightly down. Include the bag and sandals; keep harsh sun off your face.
Keep both feet down if lifting one feels awkward.

07Reach toward the camera
Face the view, then turn your shoulders back. Reach one open hand toward your friend, elbow soft, and meet the lens.
Camera 1×, slightly above eye level, 1–1.5 m away. Focus on the face; warm skin, blue water.
The near hand looks larger. Keep it clear of your face and stay behind the parapet.
